Gnocchi

  • 1 pound Gnocchi Store-bought or homemade

Italian Sausage

  • 1 pound Italian Sausage Mild or spicy, crumbled

Cooking Oil

  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Extra virgin

Garlic

  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced

Cream

  • 1 cup Heavy Cream

Cheese

  • ½ cup Parmesan Cheese Freshly grated

Vegetables

  • 2 cups Fresh Spinach

Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning

Instructions
 

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add crumbled Italian sausage and cook until browned.
  • Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant.
  • Cook gnocchi in boiling water according to package instructions until they float.
  • Pour heavy cream into the skillet and stir to combine, allowing it to thicken slightly.
  • Transfer cooked gnocchi to the skillet using a slotted spoon.
  • Add grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted.
  • Add fresh spinach and stir until wilted.
  • Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
  • Remove from heat and let sit for a minute before serving.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and pepper if desired.

Notes

For variations, consider adding sautéed mushrooms, a splash of lemon juice, or using different greens.
