  • 0.5 cup Soy Sauce Good quality soy sauce enhances flavor.
  • 0.25 cup Brown Sugar Adds sweetness and helps caramelize the wings.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced for robust flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger Freshly grated for zesty freshness.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil Lends a nutty flavor.

Garnishes

  • 2 pieces Green Onions Finely chopped for garnish.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds Toasted, for sprinkling on top.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Add chicken wings to the marinade, ensuring they are thoroughly coated.
  • Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2-4 hours.
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
  • Transfer marinated wings onto the wire rack, spaced out.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • While wings bake, simmer remaining marinade in a saucepan for 5-10 minutes until thickened.
  • Brush wings with thickened sauce and return to oven for an additional 5-10 minutes.
  • Let wings rest for a few minutes, then garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat in the oven for best texture.
