Simple Teriyaki Chicken Skewers

These skewers are bursting with flavor and are incredibly easy to prepare, making them perfect for weeknight dinners or summer barbecues.

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast Cut into 1-inch cubes.
  • 1/2 cup Teriyaki Sauce Store-bought or homemade.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil For grilling.
  • 2 stalks Green Onions Chopped, for garnish.
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Seeds Optional, for garnish.

Skewers

  • 8 pieces Wooden or Metal Skewers Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes.

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine teriyaki sauce and minced garlic. Stir well.
  • Cut the chicken breast into 1-inch cubes.
  • Add chicken cubes to the marinade and coat thoroughly. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Thread marinated chicken onto skewers, leaving space between pieces.
  • Brush grill grates with vegetable oil and place skewers on the grill.
  • Grill skewers for 8-10 minutes, turning halfway through, until chicken reaches 165°F.
  • Brush skewers with additional teriyaki sauce during the last few minutes of grilling.
  • Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For variations, consider adding vegetables like bell peppers or zucchini to the skewers.
