Instructions
1. Prepare your ingredients: Dice the chicken, chop the carrots, celery, and onion, and mince the garlic.
2. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion, carrot, and celery. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until soft.
3. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
5. Add diced chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 15-20 minutes until tender.
6. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Whisk together.
7. Add milk to the dry mixture and stir until just combined.
8. Drop spoonfuls of the dumpling batter into the simmering broth.
9. Cover the pot and reduce heat to low. Let dumplings steam for about 15 minutes.
10. Check if dumplings are cooked through and fluffy. Stir the broth gently and adjust seasoning if necessary.
