  • 0.5 cup Lettuce Chopped for crunch.
  • 0.5 cup Bell Peppers Diced for color and taste.
  • 0.25 cup Mayonnaise Acts as a creamy binding agent.
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard Adds a tangy kick.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Infuses savory flavor.

Instructions
 

  • Gather all your ingredients. Dice the cooked chicken and chop the fresh vegetables.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped chicken, diced vegetables, mayonnaise, mustard, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the grinder bread if not pre-sliced, and place it on a baking sheet. Brush the outside with olive oil and toast for 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove the toasted bread from the oven, scoop the chicken filling onto one slice, and top with another slice of bread.
  • Press the sandwich slightly with a pan or sandwich press for a more authentic experience.
  • Slice the sandwich in half diagonally and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. The flavors will meld together, making it tastier the next day.
