Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients: chicken, salsa verde, garlic, onion, cumin, salt, black pepper, lime juice, and cilantro.
  • Lightly coat the bottom of the crockpot with cooking spray or olive oil.
  • Place chicken breasts in a single layer in the crockpot.
  • Sprinkle minced garlic over the chicken.
  • Add diced onion on top of the chicken.
  • Pour salsa verde over the chicken and onion.
  • Sprinkle cumin, salt, and black pepper over the mixture.
  • Squeeze lime juice over the top.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  • Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and mix with the sauce.
  • Serve warm, garnished with chopped cilantro.
