  • 1 pound Steak (ribeye or sirloin) Cut into small pieces for sliders.
  • 12 buns Slider Buns Soft and fresh, whole wheat or regular.
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter Softened for cowboy butter.
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic For cowboy butter.
  • 1/4 cup Freshly Chopped Parsley For cowboy butter.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice For cowboy butter.
  • 1 pinch Cayenne Pepper For cowboy butter.
  • 6 slices Cheese (cheddar or pepper jack) For topping sliders.
  • Optional Toppings Pickles, caramelized onions, or fresh arugula.

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of softened unsalted butter with 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1/4 cup of freshly chopped parsley, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Mix well and set aside.
  • Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat. Season the 1 pound of steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Add the seasoned steak to the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Adjust timing for desired doneness.
  • Cut each slider bun in half and lightly toast them until golden brown.
  • Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
  • Place sliced cheese on the grill for about 1 minute until it melts slightly.
  • Assemble the sliders by placing sliced steak on the bottom half of each bun, adding cowboy butter, melted cheese, and any additional toppings.
  • Cover each slider with the top half of the bun and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
