Steak of Choice

Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce

  • 2 peppers Chipotle Peppers Finely chopped, adjust according to spice tolerance.
  • 1 tablespoon Adobo Sauce From the chipotle peppers can.

Garlic

  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced.

Lime Juice

  • 2 tablespoons Lime Juice Freshly squeezed.

Olive Oil

  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil For marinade and cooking.

Salt and Pepper

  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly cracked, to taste.

Fresh Cilantro

  • 1 handful Cilantro Chopped, for garnish.

Instructions
 

  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine the chopped chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, minced garlic, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
  • Place the steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it is evenly coated. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
  • Preheat your grill, skillet, or broiler to medium-high heat.
  • Remove the steak from the marinade and cook on the grill or skillet for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  • Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer (130°F for medium-rare). Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
  • Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips and garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
  • Serve with your favorite sides like rice, grilled vegetables, or fresh salads.

Notes

Leftover steak can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat gently to maintain tenderness.
