Instructions
Begin by marinating the sliced beef sirloin with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and a generous amount of freshly cracked black pepper for 15-30 minutes.
While the beef is marinating, slice the bell peppers and onion into thin strips.
Heat a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil until shimmering.
Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the marinated beef to the pan, spreading it out in a single layer and searing for 1-2 minutes.
Stir the beef continuously until nearly cooked through, about 2-3 minutes.
Add sliced onions and bell peppers, stir-frying for 3-4 minutes until they soften but remain crunchy.
Mix remaining soy sauce and sesame oil in a bowl, then pour over the beef and vegetables, stirring well.
Continue to stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
Notes
For variations, consider adding carrots or snap peas, using different proteins, or adding chili sauce for extra spice.
