  • 2 tablespoons Chili Powder Crucial for seasoning the beef.

  • 8-10 pieces Flour Tortillas Soft and pliable for rolling.
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese Layered inside and on top.
  • 15 ounces Tomato Sauce Used for coating the enchiladas.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil Used to sauté onions and garlic.

Instructions
 

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Sauté chopped onion for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  • Add ground beef, breaking it apart, and season with chili powder, cumin, and salt. Cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Warm tomato sauce in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  • Fill each tortilla with beef mixture and cheese, roll them up, and place seam-side down in a baking dish.
  • Spread a layer of tomato sauce on the bottom of the dish, then pour remaining sauce over the enchiladas and sprinkle with cheese.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  • Let cool for a few minutes, garnish with cilantro, and serve hot.

Notes

For variations, consider adding jalapeños for heat, using different cheeses, or substituting ground turkey for a healthier option.
