Ingredients
  

Beef

  • 1 pound Flank Steak or Sirloin Slice against the grain into thin strips.

Broccoli

  • 2 cups Broccoli Florets Cut into bite-sized pieces.

Sauce

  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Use low-sodium if preferred.
  • 2-3 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 inch Ginger Peeled and grated.
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil For frying.
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch For thickening the sauce.
  • 1/2 cup Water or Beef Broth For cooking the sauce.

Garnish

  • 2-3 stalks Green Onions Chopped for garnish.

Serving Base

  • 2 cups Jasmine Rice or Noodles For serving.

Instructions
 

  • Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips and marinate with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil for at least 15 minutes.
  • Prepare the broccoli by rinsing and chopping it into bite-sized pieces.
  • Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated beef in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes without stirring.
  • Stir occasionally until the beef is nearly cooked through, about another 2-3 minutes. Remove from the pan.
  • Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the same skillet and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the chopped broccoli and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
  • Return the beef to the skillet, add the remaining marinade and water or beef broth. Stir well.
  • Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Serve over jasmine rice or noodles, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

Consider adding other vegetables or nuts for variations. Adjust seasoning to taste.
