Instructions
Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips and marinate with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil for at least 15 minutes.
Prepare the broccoli by rinsing and chopping it into bite-sized pieces.
Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated beef in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes without stirring.
Stir occasionally until the beef is nearly cooked through, about another 2-3 minutes. Remove from the pan.
Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the same skillet and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the chopped broccoli and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
Return the beef to the skillet, add the remaining marinade and water or beef broth. Stir well.
Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Serve over jasmine rice or noodles, garnished with chopped green onions.
Notes
Consider adding other vegetables or nuts for variations. Adjust seasoning to taste.
