  • 1 pound Fresh Green Beans Choose bright green, firm beans.
  • 1/2 cup Sliced Almonds Toast for enhanced flavor.
  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted Butter For sautéing the beans and almonds.
  • 1-2 cloves Garlic Minced, for aromatic flavor.
  • 1 pinch Salt To taste.
  • 1 pinch Black Pepper Freshly ground, to taste.
  • 1/2 lemon Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed for brightness.

Instructions
 

  • Wash and trim the green beans. Set aside.
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Blanch the green beans for 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
  • Transfer the beans to a bowl of ice water to stop cooking. Cool for 5 minutes, then drain.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add sliced almonds and toast for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the blanched green beans and toss to coat in the almond mixture. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Squeeze lemon juice over the mixture and toss again.
  • Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with remaining toasted almonds.

Notes

For variations, consider adding other vegetables or herbs, or substituting butter with olive oil for a lighter option.
