Beef

  • 3-4 pounds Beef Chuck Roast Well-marbled cut perfect for shredding.
  • 2 medium Onions Finely chopped.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 cup Beef Broth Low-sodium preferred.
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce Choose your favorite flavor.
  • to taste Salt Kosher salt recommended.
  • to taste Pepper Freshly cracked black pepper recommended.

Buns

  • 12 pieces Slider Buns Soft and slightly sweet.

  • Shredded Cheese For added flavor.

Instructions
 

  • Start by preparing the beef chuck roast. Trim any excess fat and cut into large chunks.
  • In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef chunks in batches, searing them on all sides until browned.
  • Transfer the browned beef to a slow cooker. In the same skillet, add the chopped onions and sauté until translucent and caramelized.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant. Pour this mixture over the beef in the slow cooker.
  • Add the beef broth and BBQ sauce to the slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cover and set the slow cooker to low heat. Cook for 8 hours or until fork-tender.
  • Remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred it in a mixing bowl using two forks.
  • Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and let it sit for an additional 15-20 minutes on low heat.
  • Prepare the slider buns by lightly toasting them if desired.
  • Assemble the sliders by placing a scoop of shredded beef on the bottom half of each bun and adding any optional toppings.
  • Top with the bun's top half and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat gently before serving.
