Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and egg. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Gently fold in the sliced strawberries.
Spread the filling onto four slices of bread and top with another slice to form sandwiches.
Set up a dredging station with flour and a beaten egg.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Coat each sandwich in flour, then dip in egg, and return to flour for a second coating.
Fry sandwiches in hot oil for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
