Chicken

Coating

Cooking

  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil For frying.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger Freshly grated.

Sauce

  • 0.25 cup Honey For sweetness.
  • 0.25 cup Soy Sauce For umami.
  • 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar For acidity.
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes For heat.

Garnish

  • 2 Green Onions Chopped, for garnish.

Instructions
 

  • Begin by preparing the chicken. Take 1 pound of boneless, skinless chicken breasts and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ½ cup of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, and ½ teaspoon of pepper.
  • Toss the chicken pieces in the flour mixture until they are evenly coated.
  • In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the coated chicken pieces in a single layer.
  • Fry the chicken for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and freshly grated ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
  • Pour the sauce into the skillet with the sautéed garlic and ginger. Stir well and allow to simmer.
  • Add the fried chicken back into the skillet, tossing it in the sauce to coat.
  • Remove from heat and transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped green onions.
