  • 4 fillets Salmon Fillets Each fillet should weigh about 6 ounces.
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted Butter Melted for the cowboy butter sauce.
  • 4 cloves Fresh Garlic Minced finely.
  • 0.25 cup Fresh Parsley Finely chopped, for mixing and garnish.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice Adds brightness to the dish.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt For seasoning the salmon.
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper For seasoning the salmon.
  • 1 pinch Red Pepper Flakes Optional, for added heat.

Instructions
 

  • Gather all your ingredients on a clean countertop.
  • Prepare the cowboy butter by melting the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic to the saucepan and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in the chopped parsley and lemon juice, and add red pepper flakes if desired. Remove from heat.
  • Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  • Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin side down, and cook for about 4-5 minutes.
  • Flip the salmon fillets, reduce heat to medium, and pour half of the cowboy butter sauce over the top.
  • Continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes, basting with the melted butter.
  • Remove the salmon when cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Transfer to a serving plate and drizzle with remaining cowboy butter sauce. Garnish with parsley.
  • Serve immediately while hot.

For variations, consider adding capers, different herbs, or serving with various sides like quinoa or roasted vegetables.
