Instructions
Gather all your ingredients on a clean countertop.
Prepare the cowboy butter by melting the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic to the saucepan and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in the chopped parsley and lemon juice, and add red pepper flakes if desired. Remove from heat.
Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin side down, and cook for about 4-5 minutes.
Flip the salmon fillets, reduce heat to medium, and pour half of the cowboy butter sauce over the top.
Continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes, basting with the melted butter.
Remove the salmon when cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Transfer to a serving plate and drizzle with remaining cowboy butter sauce. Garnish with parsley.
Serve immediately while hot.
Notes
For variations, consider adding capers, different herbs, or serving with various sides like quinoa or roasted vegetables.
