Instructions
1. Peel and chop the russet potatoes into even chunks. Place them in a large pot, cover with cold water, and add a pinch of salt.
2. Bring the pot to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium and simmer for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender.
3. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, then add minced garlic and sauté for about 2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Drain the cooked potatoes and return them to the pot. Let them sit for a couple of minutes to release steam.
5. Add the melted garlic butter and heavy cream to the potatoes. Mash until desired consistency is reached.
6. Stir in chopped herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and adjust seasoning if necessary.
7. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with additional herbs if desired. Serve warm.
