  • 1 pound Ground Beef Lean ground beef, cooked until browned.
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheese Cheddar or Monterey Jack for melting.
  • 2 pieces Flour Tortillas Medium-sized (8-10 inches).
  • 1 medium Onion Finely chopped and sautéed.
  • 1 medium Bell Pepper Diced, any color.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder For seasoning.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper To taste.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil For sautéing vegetables.

Instructions
 

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Sauté chopped onion and diced bell pepper for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  • Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Prepare two tortillas by sprinkling half of the shredded cheese on each.
  • Distribute the beef and vegetable mixture evenly over the cheese on each tortilla, then top with remaining cheese.
  • Fold each tortilla in half and return to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from skillet, let cool for a minute, then slice into wedges. Serve warm with optional toppings.

Notes

For variations, consider adding mushrooms, using different cheeses, or incorporating greens like spinach.
