Ingredients

  • 4-6 medium Jalapeños Fresh jalapeños, roasted for smoky flavor.
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Full-fat, softened at room temperature.
  • 1 clove Garlic Whole, to be roasted with jalapeños.
  • 1/2 lime Lime Juice Freshly squeezed for brightness.
  • 1 pinch Salt To taste.
  • to taste Black Pepper Freshly ground.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Wash and dry the jalapeños, slice them in half lengthwise, and remove seeds if desired.
  • Peel the garlic clove and leave it whole. Arrange jalapeños and garlic on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, drizzle with olive oil.
  • Roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes until tender and slightly charred.
  • Let cool for a few minutes, then chop the jalapeños and garlic.
  • In a mixing bowl, whip the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  • Add the chopped jalapeños, garlic, lime juice, salt, and pepper to the cream cheese and mix until well combined.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • Serve chilled or at room temperature with crackers or fresh vegetables.

Notes

This spread can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
