Brownie Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter Melted
  • 2 cups Granulated Sugar
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Red Food Coloring

Frosting Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Softened
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Softened
  • 4 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tablespoons Heavy Cream Optional for consistency

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
  • Melt the unsalted butter in a large mixing bowl and allow it to cool slightly.
  • Add the granulated sugar to the bowl and whisk until well combined.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the red food coloring until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes, then lift them out and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
  • For the frosting, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy.
  • Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until fully incorporated. If too thick, add heavy cream until desired consistency is reached.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the cooled brownies.
  • Cut into squares or rectangles and serve.
