  • 2 cups Fresh Raspberries Opt for plump, ripe raspberries for the best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar Adjust based on personal preference for sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed for best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Optional, adds depth to the flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Water Helps create a syrupy consistency.

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the raspberries gently under cold water. If using frozen raspberries, add them directly to the pot.
  • In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the raspberries, sugar, lemon juice, and water. Stir gently to coat the raspberries.
  • Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a gentle simmer, allowing the raspberries to break down.
  • Reduce heat to low and cook for about 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the mixture thickens.
  • Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract, and adjust sweetness if needed. Allow to cool before transferring to a jar.
  • Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate. Can be stored for up to one week.
