Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Cutting Board
  • Chef's Knife
  • Oven

Ingredients

  • 1 serving White Whole Wheat Pizza Dough
  • 15 slices Pepperoni
  • 1/4 pound Mozzarella Cheese Diced in chunks
  • 1/2 cup Italian Cheese Shredded

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425 degrees. This step is crucial as a hot oven ensures that the bread bakes evenly and gets that lovely golden color.
  • Take a large sheet of parchment paper and lay it flat on your countertop. Sprinkle a little bit of flour on top to prevent sticking. Roll or shape your pizza dough into a round or oval shape, about half an inch thick.
  • On one side of the dough, generously load it with pepperoni slices and chunks of mozzarella cheese. Don’t hold back; you want those flavors to shine!
  • Fold the unfilled side of the dough over the pepperoni and cheese, creating a half-moon shape. This will enclose the delicious filling.
  • Using a pizza cutter or a sharp knife, cut strips through the dough vertically and horizontally, creating small chunks of pizza dough. Be careful not to cut all the way through the bottom; you want it to stay connected.
  • Gently push the pieces together so they touch, forming a cohesive loaf. This helps the bread rise and bake evenly.
  • Carefully lift the parchment paper with the pizza bread and transfer it onto a baking sheet. Make sure it’s positioned well so it can bake evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the top is lightly browned and the cheese is perfectly melted. Keep an eye on it to prevent over-baking!
  • Once done, remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color and flavor. Let it cool slightly before serving.
  • Serve immediately with homemade pizza sauce for dipping. Enjoy every gooey, cheesy bite!

Notes

Storage: To store leftovers, place them in an airtight container in the fridge. They can be reheated in the oven or microwave. Freezing: You can freeze the dough before baking for later use. Pairing: Enjoy with a side salad or your favorite dipping sauce.
