  • 1 cup Chopped Nuts Optional, walnuts or pecans work well.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon Optional, adds warmth and depth.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt Balances the sweetness.

Instructions
 

  • 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • 2. In a mixing bowl, pour the can of crushed pineapple, including its juice.
  • 3. If using, add shredded coconut and chopped nuts to the bowl and stir gently.
  • 4. Pour the pineapple mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • 5. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the pineapple layer.
  • 6. Melt the unsalted butter and drizzle it over the cake mix.
  • 7. If using, sprinkle ground cinnamon over the top.
  • 8. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the top is golden brown and edges are bubbling.
