Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces Crab Meat Fresh or imitation crab meat, cooked and flaked.
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Softened to room temperature.
  • 2-3 pieces Green Onions Finely chopped.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 pinch Salt To taste.
  • 1 pinch Black Pepper Freshly cracked, to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Melted, for brushing.
  • 4 slices Soft Bread Such as white sandwich bread or brioche.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, flaked crab meat, chopped green onions, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
  • Flatten each slice of bread using a rolling pin.
  • Spread the crab mixture onto one side of each flattened bread slice, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Fold the bread slice in half to create a pocket and press the edges to seal.
  • Brush the tops of each folded melt with melted butter.
  • Place the melts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Let the melts cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Cut the melts in half for serving and enjoy!

Notes

For variations, consider adding jalapeños for spice or using different types of cheese.
