Equipment

  • Grater
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Chef's Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Baking Sheet
  • Oven

Ingredients

  • 8 oz crescent rolls 1 refrigerated can
  • 25 slices pepperoni diced
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese freshly grated
  • ¼ cup cheddar cheese freshly grated
  • 1 tsp parsley fresh chopped
  • 1 tbsp butter unsalted, melted
  • 1 tbsp everything bagel seasoning substitute a little garlic salt
  • 1 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  • Open the package of crescent rolls and carefully roll out the dough. You’ll see eight triangular pieces; gently stretch them to enlarge each piece slightly.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, and fresh parsley. Mix until everything is well incorporated, creating a flavorful filling.
  • Take a generous spoonful of the filling and place it at the wide end of each triangle of dough. Be careful not to overfill, as it can make rolling difficult!
  • Starting at the wide end, roll the triangle towards the tip, enclosing the filling snugly. Pinch the edges to seal them, ensuring the filling stays inside while baking.
  • Once all the rolls are assembled, place them on the prepared baking sheet. They should be spaced apart to allow for expansion while baking.
  • Brush the tops of the rolls with melted unsalted butter. Sprinkle each roll with everything bagel seasoning for an added flavor boost.
  • Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Keep an eye on them, as you want the tops to be a lovely golden-brown color without burning the bottoms.
  • Once baked, remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve warm with pizza sauce or marinara on the side for dipping.
  • Enjoy your homemade Pepperoni Crescent Rolls with family and friends, and watch them disappear!

Notes

  • Tip 1: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven to restore crispiness.
  • Tip 2: You can freeze unbaked rolls. Just assemble them, freeze separated on a baking sheet, then transfer to a bag. Bake directly from frozen, adding a few extra minutes.
  • Tip 3: Try serving these rolls with a side of fresh salad or veggie sticks to balance the richness of the cheese.
  • Tip 4: For a twist, substitute the pepperoni with different meats or even sautéed vegetables for a vegetarian option.
  • Tip 5: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the filling if you like a bit of heat in your rolls.
