Oven
- 2 medium Ripe Bananas
- 1 cup Rolled Oats
- 1 cup Peanut Butter
- 12 oz Canned Chickpeas Drained and rinsed
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 1/4 cup Sugar Or sweetener of choice
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 4 teaspoons Nutella Or any hazelnut cacao spread
- 9 teaspoons Strawberry Jelly/Jam
Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F). This ensures that the blondies bake evenly. While that heats up, take an 8x8-inch baking pan and lightly grease it with cooking spray. Wipe away any excess with a paper towel and set it aside.
In a food processor, combine ALL the ingredients, except for the Nutella and jam. Blend everything until smooth. This should take around 5 minutes, depending on the power of your food processor. Look for a creamy consistency without any lumps.
Once the mixture is smooth, pour it into the prepared pan. Use a spatula to spread it out evenly. Then, take your jam and Nutella and spoon them evenly over the batter. This is where the fun begins!
With the back of a spatula or a knife, gently swirl both spreads into the batter. Be careful not to over-mix; you want to see those beautiful ribbons of Nutella and jam throughout.
Now, it’s time to bake! Place the pan in your preheated oven and bake for approximately 25 to 30 minutes. Keep an eye on the blondies; when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out semi-clean, they’re ready. Remember, the dirtier the toothpick, the richer the bars will be!
Once baked, remove the pan from the oven and let it cool. This is crucial as they will be VERY moist when taken out of the oven but will set and firm as they cool. Patience is key!
After cooling, gently cut the blondies into 16 squares. You can use a sharp knife for clean edges. Enjoy the amazing smell as they come together!
- Tip 1: They are VERY moist when taken out of the oven, but they will set and firm as they cool!
- Tip 2: Don't overcook these or they will become dry.
