  • Step 1: Prepare the ingredients by gathering and dicing the onion, bell pepper, and mincing the garlic.
  • Step 2: In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  • Step 3: Stir in the minced garlic and diced bell pepper, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until softened.
  • Step 4: Pour in the diced tomatoes and tomato sauce, mixing well with the sautéed vegetables.
  • Step 5: Pour in the broth, and stir in the Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes. Bring to a gentle boil.
