  • 1 pound Ground Beef Lean ground beef for optimal flavor.
  • 1 medium Onion Finely chopped.
  • 2-3 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 4 cups Beef Broth Low-sodium preferred.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream For a creamy sauce.
  • 1-2 cups Cheddar Cheese Shredded, for topping.
  • 1-2 teaspoons Salt To taste.
  • 1-2 teaspoons Pepper To taste.
  • 1-2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning To enhance flavor.

Garnish

  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Parsley Chopped, for garnish.

Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients: chop onion and garlic, and measure beef broth and cream.
  • In a large pot over medium heat, add oil and chopped onion. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until aromatic.
  • Increase heat to medium-high, add ground beef, and cook until browned.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, mixing well.
  • Pour in beef broth, scraping the bottom of the pot to deglaze. Bring to a gentle boil.
  • Add tortellini, stirring gently to submerge in broth.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 5-7 minutes until tortellini are tender.
  • Slowly pour in heavy cream, stirring continuously to create a creamy sauce.
  • Add shredded cheddar cheese gradually, stirring until melted and combined.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Add more cheese for a cheesier flavor.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Can be frozen for longer storage.
