Instructions
1. Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and slice them evenly. Set aside.
2. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add sliced mushrooms, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Remove from heat.
3. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
4. On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer half of the cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and remaining cheese. Top with the other slices, buttered side facing out.
5. In the same skillet, grill the sandwich over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Flip carefully.
6. Grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes, pressing down gently until both sides are golden and cheese is melted.
7. Remove from skillet, let rest for a minute, slice in half, and serve warm.
