Instructions
Gather and measure all ingredients to streamline the cooking process.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest, covered with foil.
Add the remaining butter to the skillet, then add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Squeeze the lemon juice into the skillet and let it simmer for 1-2 minutes.
Drain the pasta, reserving 1 cup of pasta water, and add the pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat.
Add reserved pasta water as needed to achieve desired sauce consistency.
Slice the chicken and add it to the pasta, tossing everything together.
Remove from heat and mix in the Parmesan cheese until melted.
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
