Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients and tools, including a heatproof bowl, whisk, and a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it simmers, then remove from heat.
  • Pour the hot cream over the white chocolate chips in the heatproof bowl and let sit for 2-3 minutes.
  • Whisk the mixture until smooth and fully combined, creating a silky ganache.
  • Add the fresh orange zest and orange juice to the ganache, mixing well.
  • Sift in the powdered sugar gradually, stirring continuously until fully incorporated.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1-2 hours to firm up the ganache.
  • Once firm, use a small cookie scoop to portion out balls of the mixture, rolling them between your palms.
  • Place the truffles on the parchment-lined baking sheet and return to the refrigerator if the mixture becomes too soft.
  • Dust your hands with cocoa powder and roll each truffle in cocoa powder until fully coated.
  • Transfer the coated truffles to an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. You can also freeze them for up to three months.
