Frying Pan
- 15 oz No-Salt-Added Tomato Sauce
- 2 tbsp Milk of Choice
- 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/4 tsp Paprika
- 3/4 tsp Salt to 1 tsp, as desired
- 1 tbsp Butter vegan brands work too
- 1/4 cup Nutritional Yeast or Parmesan
- 1-2 tbsp Any Sweetener of Choice
- 1 cup Tiny Pasta of Choice If using a larger pasta, such as elbows, increase to 2 cups
In a small saucepan, combine all ingredients, except for the tiny pasta. Stir well to mix everything together. It should come together smoothly.
Place the saucepan on medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil. As it heats up, keep an eye on it to prevent sticking.
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and allow it to simmer. This is when the flavors meld beautifully, so don’t rush this step. You want the butter to melt completely.
Meanwhile, fill a medium pot with water and bring it to a boil over high heat. It’s important to salt the water generously; this will help infuse flavor into the pasta.
After the water is boiling, add in the tiny pasta and cook according to package instructions until it’s al dente. Make sure to taste it at intervals!
Once the pasta is cooked, drain it thoroughly and pat it dry with a towel. This step prevents the pasta from becoming too watery once mixed with the sauce.
Now, carefully pour the drained pasta into the saucepan with the sauce. Stir gently to combine everything, ensuring that each piece of pasta is coated in that rich tomato goodness.
Serve hot and enjoy! If you have leftovers, prepare to stir in a little more milk when reheating to return the creaminess.
- Tip for Perfect Sauce: Make sure to stir the sauce occasionally while it simmers. This will prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
- Pasta Texture: Cooking the pasta just until al dente ensures it doesn’t become mushy when mixed with the sauce.
- Flavor Adjustments: Don’t hesitate to tweak the seasonings. Adding herbs like basil or oregano can elevate the taste!
- Reheating Tips: When reheating leftovers, add a splash of milk to restore creaminess and prevent it from drying out.
- Storing Leftovers: Store any leftover Homemade Spaghettios in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
