  • 1 pound Ground Beef Lean ground beef is recommended for a lighter dish.
  • 1 small Onion Finely chopped.
  • 1 cup Bell Peppers Diced (any color).
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard Yellow mustard.

  • 4 large Fresh Bread Bowls Choose crusty on the outside and soft on the inside.

Instructions
 

  • 1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  • 2. Add the chopped onion and diced bell peppers. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  • 3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • 4. Pour in the tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and mustard. Stir until combined.
  • 5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer on low for about 10 minutes.
  • 6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the tops off the bread rolls and hollow out the insides.
  • 7. Spoon the filling into each bread bowl and place on a baking sheet.
  • 8. Bake for about 10 minutes until the bread is crispy and the filling is heated through.
  • 9. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

For variations, consider adding jalapeños for spice, using ground turkey for a lighter option, or adding cheese on top before baking.
