Fresh Bread Bowls
Choose crusty on the outside and soft on the inside.
Instructions
1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
2. Add the chopped onion and diced bell peppers. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
4. Pour in the tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and mustard. Stir until combined.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer on low for about 10 minutes.
6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the tops off the bread rolls and hollow out the insides.
7. Spoon the filling into each bread bowl and place on a baking sheet.
8. Bake for about 10 minutes until the bread is crispy and the filling is heated through.
9. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
For variations, consider adding jalapeños for spice, using ground turkey for a lighter option, or adding cheese on top before baking.
