Ingredients
  

Meat

  • 1 pound Ground Beef Lean ground beef for a savory flavor.

Sauce

  • 1 cup Pizza Sauce Thick and flavorful pizza sauce.

Cheese

  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Good quality cheese for melting.

Crust

  • 1-2 units Ready-made Pie Crusts Flaky crust for the base.

Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning Enhances flavor with herbs.

Vegetables

  • 1 cup Diced Bell Peppers and Onions Adds color and crunch.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 7-10 minutes.
  • Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
  • Add the diced bell peppers and onions to the skillet and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Pour in the pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Prepare your pie crust in a pie dish.
  • Spoon the beef mixture into the pie crust and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
  • Cover with a second crust if desired, sealing the edges and making slits for steam to escape.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best texture.
