Instructions
 

  • Begin by preparing your workspace and gathering all ingredients.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until evenly mixed.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently fold together until just combined.
  • Fold in the shredded cheese until evenly distributed.
  • Heat the oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  • Drop small portions of the batter into the hot oil, avoiding crowding the pan.
  • Fry the donuts for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden-brown.
  • Remove the donuts from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
  • Allow the donuts to cool slightly before serving. Optionally, sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
