Filling Ingredients

Icing Ingredients

  • 1 cup Powdered sugar For the icing.
  • 2 tablespoons Milk For icing consistency.

Instructions
 

  • 1. Start by activating the yeast. In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of warm milk with 2 teaspoons of active dry yeast and 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar. Let it sit for about 5 to 10 minutes until bubbly.
  • 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 4 cups of all-purpose flour, ½ cup of granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt. Mix well to ensure even distribution of the dry ingredients.
  • 3. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and add the activated yeast mixture, along with 2 large eggs and ½ cup of melted unsalted butter. Stir until combined, then knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8 to 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  • 4. Once kneaded, place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a damp cloth. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • 5. While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon, ½ cup of granulated sugar, and ½ cup of melted unsalted butter. Mix until well combined.
  • 6. After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle approximately 16×12 inches. Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • 7. Sprinkle ½ cup of colorful sprinkles over the cinnamon filling, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
  • 8. Carefully roll the dough into a tight log, starting from the long side. Pinch the seam to seal, then slice the log into 12 equal pieces using a sharp knife or dental floss.
  • 9. Place the rolled cinnamon rolls in a greased baking dish, allowing space between each roll. Cover with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  • 10. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Once the rolls have risen, bake them for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
  • 11. While the rolls are baking, prepare the icing by mixing 1 cup of powdered sugar with a few tablespoons of milk until you achieve a smooth, pourable consistency.

Notes
