  • cup tahini prepared
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • Juice of half lemon
  • 3 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning plus more for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper or to taste

Instructions
 

  • Start by placing the garbanzo beans in a microwave-safe bowl along with 2 tablespoons of water. Cover the bowl with a wet paper towel. Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds. This step warms up the beans and makes them easier to blend, enhancing the creamy texture.
  • In a food processor or blender, combine all the hummus ingredients: the warmed garbanzo beans, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, everything bagel seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Blend on high for 1 minute. You should see a smooth mixture forming.
  • Stop to scrape down the sides of the processor, ensuring all ingredients mix thoroughly. Blend again for an additional minute. This is where the magic happens—watch as it transforms into a creamy blend!
