  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips For the top layer of fudge.
  • 1 package Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix 3.4 oz package for creamy flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Enhances flavor profile.
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar For sweetness and texture.
  • 1 pinch Salt Balances sweetness.

Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients and equipment. Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, butter, and evaporated milk. Stir continuously until boiling, about 5 minutes.
  • Continue stirring for an additional 5 minutes until smooth and creamy. Be careful not to burn.
  • Remove from heat and whisk in the vanilla pudding mix until fully incorporated.
  • Add powdered sugar and salt, whisking until smooth and lump-free.
  • Pour half of the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.
  • Melt chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Pour over the first layer of fudge.
  • Pour the remaining vanilla fudge mixture over the chocolate layer, smoothing the top.
  • Cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  • Once set, lift out of the dish using parchment paper and cut into squares.
  • Serve at room temperature or chilled.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or refrigerate for longer freshness.
