  • 1 package Puff Pastry Usually contains two sheets.
  • 1 cup Fresh Blueberries Rinsed and checked for stems.
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Softened.
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar To sweeten the filling.
  • 1 large Egg Beaten with a tablespoon of water for egg wash.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Use pure vanilla extract.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon Optional for added flavor.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Thaw the puff pastry for about 15 minutes at room temperature.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
  • Gently fold in the blueberries into the cream cheese mixture.
  • Roll out the puff pastry sheets to about 1/8 inch thick and cut into 4-inch squares.
  • Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each square and fold over to seal.
  • Brush the tops with egg wash.
  • Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Can be paired with ice cream or whipped cream.
