Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan by greasing it lightly or lining it with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
Add the melted butter to the mashed bananas and mix well until combined.
Stir in the brown sugar and granulated sugar until well blended.
Crack the eggs into the mixture and whisk until fully incorporated.
In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together.
Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing gently.
Fold in the chocolate chips and optional nuts.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
