Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare an 8-inch square baking pan lined with parchment paper.
  • Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  • Gradually sift in flour, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in shredded coconut and sliced almonds.
  • Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  • Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl.
  • Drizzle melted chocolate over cooled bars and let set.
  • Slice into squares or rectangles and serve.
