Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat and let it cool slightly.
In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Whisk until smooth.
Add eggs one at a time, whisking vigorously after each addition.
Stir in vanilla flavoring.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, folding gently.
Fold in butterscotch chips and chopped nuts.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
