  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Use plain or Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs to help bind the meatballs and maintain moisture.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds a savory depth and enhances the overall flavor profile.
  • 1 large egg Acts as a binding agent, helping to hold the meatballs together.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic delivers a pungent aroma and a bold flavor that defines the dish.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Enhances the natural flavors of the meat and other ingredients.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Adds a gentle kick to the meatballs.
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano Introduces a hint of earthiness to complement the garlic.
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley Adds a subtle freshness and color to the meatballs.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter The star of the sauce, providing a rich, luxurious texture.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Used for browning the meatballs, contributing to their crisp exterior.
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth Adds moisture to the sauce and enhances the overall flavor.
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and ground chicken. Gently mix them together.
  • Step 3: Add the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, oregano, and parsley to the meat mixture. Combine thoroughly.
  • Step 4: Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Step 5: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Brown the meatballs on all sides, about 5-6 minutes total.
  • Step 6: Transfer the meatballs back to the baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until fully cooked through.
  • Step 7: In the same skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
  • Step 8: Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Step 9: Add the baked meatballs to the garlic butter sauce, spooning the sauce over each meatball. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Step 10: Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve warm.
