  • 4 slices Bread (sourdough or whole-grain) 1-inch thick slices for sturdiness.
  • 8 ounces White Cheddar Cheese Grated or sliced thinly for even melting.
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Blueberries Ripe and juicy, rinsed and patted dry.
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter For spreading on the bread.
  • 2 teaspoons Honey (optional) For added sweetness, adjust to taste.

Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients. Ensure bread is sliced to 1-inch thickness and cheese is prepared.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet. Layer cheese evenly over the bread.
  • Scatter blueberries over the cheese. Drizzle honey if using.
  • Top with another slice of bread, buttered side up. Press down slightly.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove from skillet, let cool for a minute, then slice in half and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. Reheat in a skillet.
