Equipment

  • Wooden Spoon
  • Frying Pan
  • Chef's Knife
  • Baking Sheet
  • Oven

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese low fat
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms white
  • 1 medium bell pepper green
  • 1 medium zucchini
  • 10 jumbo black olives canned
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 medium cantaloupe

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F (about 230°C). You want it nice and hot to achieve that golden crust. Line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup later.
  • Take your loaf of French bread and slice it in half lengthwise. Place the cut sides up on the prepared baking pan. This will be your pizza base, so make sure the halves are even for a balanced bake.
  • Next, take the garlic and either press it or mince it finely. Combine it with the cream cheese in a small bowl, mixing well until it’s spreadable. This garlic cream cheese will act as your delicious sauce.
  • Spread this mixture evenly over the cut sides of each bread half. Be generous; you want that creamy goodness in every bite.
  • Now, chop or slice your mushrooms, bell pepper, zucchini, and black olives. Scatter these vegetables evenly over the cream cheese layer. They’ll add texture and flavor to your pizza.
  • Once your toppings are in place, spray the entire pizza gently with cooking spray or drizzle a little olive oil on top. This helps the vegetables roast and brown beautifully in the oven.
  • Sprinkle the Italian seasoning evenly across the top. This aromatic mix will enhance the overall flavor profile and make the kitchen smell amazing.
  • Slide the pizza into the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes. Keep an eye on it; you want the vegetables to soften and brown slightly, giving them that roasted flavor.
  • After 15 minutes, remove the pizza from the oven and lower the temperature to 425°F (about 220°C). Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese generously over the top, covering the veggies.
  • Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese has melted and is bubbly. This is when the magic happens!
  • Once done, take the pizza out and let it cool slightly. Cut each pizza in half to serve. Pair it with fresh cantaloupe for a refreshing side and enjoy your creation!

Notes

To store leftovers, place the uneaten pizza in an airtight container. It will keep well in the fridge for up to three days.
If you want to make this ahead of time, assemble the pizza without baking and freeze it. Just bake directly from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
The Foot Long Pizza pairs wonderfully with a fresh garden salad or a bowl of soup for a complete meal.
Don’t be afraid to try different herbs and spices. Experimenting with flavors can lead to delightful surprises.
This recipe is great for meal prepping. You can make multiple pizzas at once, slice them, and store them individually for quick lunches.
Consider garnishing your pizza with fresh herbs like basil or parsley right before serving. This adds freshness and a pop of color.
