Chicken

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts About 1.5 pounds total.

Marinade

  • 1 cup buttermilk For marinating the chicken.

Breading

  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing Creamy and garlicky dressing.

Instructions
 

  • 1. Marinate the chicken in buttermilk with salt and pepper for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  • 2. Prepare the breading by whisking together flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • 3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, about 1/2 inch deep.
  • 4. Dredge marinated chicken in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
  • 5. Fry chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • 6. While chicken cools, chop romaine and place in a salad bowl.
  • 7. Add croutons and half of the Parmesan to the lettuce.
  • 8. Drizzle Caesar dressing over the salad and toss gently.
  • 9. Slice chicken and arrange on top of the salad, sprinkle with remaining Parmesan.
  • 10. Finish with cracked black pepper and serve immediately.

Notes

For variations, consider adding seasonal vegetables or using grilled chicken instead of fried.
