Instructions
 

  • 1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve half a cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  • 2. Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • 3. Add Tomato Sauce: Pour the tomato sauce into the skillet with garlic, stirring to combine. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • 4. Incorporate Heavy Cream: Lower heat and stir in heavy cream, mixing thoroughly. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • 5. Mix in Parmesan Cheese: Gradually add grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and fully integrated.
  • 6. Season the Sauce: Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
  • 7. Combine with Pasta: Add drained pasta to the skillet, tossing until evenly coated. Add reserved pasta water if needed.
  • 8. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and serve hot, garnished with fresh basil and additional Parmesan if desired.
