Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Blend until smooth, about 2 minutes.
Pour the cake batter into the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add granulated sugar and powdered sugar, mixing until creamy.
Stir in the chopped nuts and shredded coconut into the cream cheese mixture.
Spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture over the chocolate cake batter without mixing.
Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
For variations, consider adding almond extract or chocolate chips. Serve warm with ice cream or drizzle with caramel sauce.
