Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with half of the sliced strawberries. Mash slightly to blend flavors and set aside.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla sugar until smooth.
Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add 1-2 tablespoons of butter.
Spread the cream cheese mixture on one side of each slice of bread and make sandwiches.
Dip the stuffed sandwiches into the egg mixture, coating both sides, and allow excess to drip off.
Cook the sandwiches for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Remove from skillet and top with remaining strawberries.
Serve immediately with maple syrup.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or oven.
