Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
  • Add the ground chicken, ground beef, and Italian sausage. Cook until browned, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Incorporate the chopped bell peppers and sliced mushrooms. Cook for another 5 minutes until tender.
  • Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and stir until well combined.
  • In a large casserole dish, layer half of the meat mixture at the bottom.
  • Sprinkle one cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the first layer.
  • Top with the remaining meat mixture and another cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  • Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving.
